Beauty

I want to explore into the world of up and coming beauty tricks, tips and new designs.

Nails, Nails, Nails...
Nail art is everywhere these days, so many options, so many styles, colours and even methods!
I have been experimenting for a while now trying to find the best method and make, on the market today.
I always believe with nail art what you pay is what you get, so if you buy cheap nail transfers they probably wont last as long as a more expensive transfer, however a few do go against this rule.

Nail Transfers
The term transfer means having a image that you can transfer to your nails, the transfer is printed on Decal Paper, there are many various designs, you simply paint a base colour, cut the transfer to your nail size, some images peal off the paper others you dip in warm water for 15secs and it should peel off, you then add clear nail varnish over the top to seal.
Be careful, as the transfers can be on clear or white backgrounds therefore it can alter the base colour when applied over.
Only down side is because of the layers of varnish/transfer/varnish it makes the nail art easy to peal therefore chipping off.

Nail stickers
Nail stickers have to be the easiest, quickest and probably the most accessible in terms of different designs & price.
Stickers are really easy as you simply peel and stick. They stretch so you can gently adjust if you have wide or extra long nails, if they are too long you file the edges do not cut as filing makes the end of the sticker adhesive to the nail.
Simply pop a clear overcoat to protect the design. This method looks really good in the flesh and looks professional, defiantly a quick but quality fix.

Nail Pens & brushes
This is defiantly for the more creative in you all. Using nail varnish pens and thin nail brushes to create designs. A good tip is to find the image you would like to paint and print out/save to refer to.
Always cover with a topcoat too.

Magnetic Nail polish
Oh My Gosh. The best saved until Last.
Magnetic nail polish is such a genius invention, basically the nail polish is magnetic when wet so you apply and then hold the magnet over and it creates the design in front of your very eyes!
So firstly apply a base coat, followed by a normal layer of the polish, when dry, apply a generous layer of polish (one nail at a time) holding the magnet (located in the lid of polish) for about 15 seconds and there you have it. With this it dose take slightly longer to dry but once dry, apply a clear coat.
Defiantly the best polish around to date - Professional & affordable.
There are a few companies that do this but personally Nails Inc is the best out there but is the most expensive, Models own also do a good one.

There are a few other options out there I haven’t wrote about but these are the ones I personally prefer, if you want to look wider, try crackle effects, manicure effects & neon.

TIPS:
- Invest in good quality nail polishes
- Research before you buy
- Try things out - if it looks rubbish so what?! It’s not permanent.
